Ok, just to let you know how sick/pathetic I am, I currently own all three Godfather movies on VHS. When the DVD special edition with extra footage came out a few years ago, well guess what I demanded from Santa?! Just so you are clear on this, I own all three movies on VHS & DVD. Alrighty then, so can you guess what I am sitting here doing? Watching The Godfather on Bravo. Why, I really don't know. All I can say is that since we got our Phillips 42" HDTV back in February, I find myself watching movies I have seen scores of times, but never on the big screen.
I must tell you that John Ford's The Searchers, I watch every time I see it on even on our small TV's, but to see the John Wayne bigger than life-OMG!!
I always thought that these big TV's were a status symbol and rather unnecessary, but if you don't have one, go buy one now! Even if you don't care for regular television, get it for watching movies the way they are meant to be seen.
