A church in my local area wants to pelt its congregant's children with eggs and Tootsie Rolls thrown from an airplane this Easter. I really can't find the words to express myself for this one. Mother and I have laughed like hyenas all week long over this. Every time my mom would see the paper she would crack up about it. To add to her amusement I would launch into "As God is my witness, As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly," from an old episode of WKRP where Mr. Carlson decided for a Thanksgiving promotion to throw live turkeys from a helicopter.
Please go read about this for yourself
The airplane idea wasn't even the first idea. They initially wanted to use potato guns and launch the candy from the roof of the church! And get this they are doing a "test flyover" and dropping ice chips to see if it hurts to get pelted from a plane! (BIG DUH)
Honestly people, those redneck jokes just write themselves!
All snarky and smartA$$ comments are MOST WELCOME!

would that be considered a moving violation? or maybe as harmful as throwing a penny off the empire state building? i think i might have to keep my kid away from that easter-egg hunt!!! :) LOL!!!
Oh that's rich! I hope the people that came up with this idea are the ones standing under the ice chips! And they should have people with potato guns firing candy at them at the same time!
"“There will be people down here to see how much it will hurt,”"
not even the most faithful church member will volunteer for *that* job!
That's the dumbest thing I've heard in awhile. Seriously.
Christ on a bike... that shit is funny! Serious hillbilly church action. You make me homesick! :-)
I'm guessing that it'll be a Peeps-only thing? Because a Cadbury's egg dropped from 500' (adjusted for windage) will be going +/-110mph -- if my math is correct -- by the time it becomes embedded in the forehead of some toddler.

Sadly it won't be Peeps. They are planning to throw out some real eggs and a few plastic ones along with tootsie rolls!
Priceless. Thank you!
