It has been such a strange trip.
I never thought I would have a son. To be truthful I never wanted a son, being the daughter of a strong, independent woman, who was the daughter of a strong independent woman(a real-life Rosie the riveter while my grand-daddy was serving in WWII), I just couldn't see myself raising anything other than a strong, independent little girl.
But all I can say is God, in his infinite wisdom, knew who I should have in my life and it was this precious, amazing little boy.
I can not believe it has been five years since I gave birth to you. To me you should still look like you do in the top picture up there. Honestly, the years have just flown by. I love you with every fiber of my being, you challenge and amaze me on a daily basis.
Happy Birthday Paddy-Cakes!

Happy birthday, Paddy!
I had a terrible time accepting that my son was 5. And now he's almost 7.
AAAAHHH!
Awwwww, such a cutie pie... Happy birthday!
Happy Birthday sweet pea!
I felt the same way as you. When I found out I was having twins I wanted either two girls or one of each. Two boys? Unthinkable. What would I do with two boys? Or the one I did end up with? Now? I'm glad I have two sons instead of just one. Sons are wonderful!
Aw ... happy birthday!
Happy Birthday sweetie!
You do seem to get what you need, don'tcha.

Happy birthday a day late!
