FBI: Couple offered sex with girl, 5, for used car
SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- A San Antonio couple is accused of trying to trying to trade sex with the woman's 5-year-old daughter for an apartment, a used car and child care for her 10-month old daughter.
Sickening and heartbreaking for those poor children. What the hell is wrong with a mother that would do that to her kid?
You know, when I read things like this, I really think that a public stoning or lashings with a bull-whip would be appropriate for these two losers! Maybe that would be too good for them.
Pray for those kids. I hope God will have mercy on the mother and her boyfriend, because I sure wouldn't!

he wouldn't make it to jail after i got finished with him. he'd be begging me for mercy...no, he'd be begging for jail.
That's pretty damn sorry. What would compel a woman to do that to her child?

I can't possibly read the story. This is going to sound really sexist, and it probably is, but when I hear about men abusing children, I think, well, yeah. Men can be evil assholes, with broken brains. But when I hear about a mother abusing her child, or allowing her child to be abused, I'm ten times more horrified. I think it's because keeping children safe is a biological process, something built into us by God/Nature/Universe—whatever. It fits with all beliefs. The mama is the one person the kid is supposed to be able to count on. Keeping our babies safe and healthy and helping them grow up to be productive adults is our ONE job. Nothing else matters, by comparison. It baffles me that there is room in the world, in nature, for women who knowingly allow their babies to suffer.
Suzi, you are so right! It is our ONE job! That's it.

smcdonough is right - it does seem worse when it's the mother abusing the kids. I can't even get my head round a mother allowing her boyfriend or husband to do it without protest. I would be out of there so fast I'd leave skid marks.
Bring back the stocks, supply the people with plenty of stinking rotten vegetables and stand back. When they're all done, tattoo the woman's forehead with her crime.
She MUST have been an addict. I can't comprehend anything else.
