Here's the key though:

They're admitting it's not all-encompassing, so it's not as bad as it originally seems.
Still, they need to find some "hidden gem" somewhere that can top the charts so he can crawl in front of Mariah. That's just wrong.
Cow firmly believes when he returns from the nursing home he will be back on top of the charts.
