Since three people(Nicole, Doghouse, & Sandi) have seen fit to tag me for the same fricken meme, instead of seven items I will be posting twenty-one items!
1-I miss my grand-daddy every day. I miss his wisdom, his toughness, his tenderness, his manners and his kindness.
2-I miss my Douglas cat everyday. I am afraid I will never recover from his loss.
3-I grind my teeth in my sleep and at various times throughout the day.
4-I ate spinach every day when I was pregnant with Paddycake.
5-I had to eat spinach because my body would not tolerate the iron supplements.
6-I have not eaten spinach in the five years since his birth even though it is one of my favorite foods.
7-I hate Thanksgiving with an unholy passion.
8-The crass commercialism of Christmas makes me so sad.
9-The commercialism and my in-laws holiday hysteria make me dread the entire holiday season like the PLAGUE.
10-I wish I could get my in-laws to understand that they don't have to buy the kid so much crap.
11-I have more unread books than anyone should!
12-I order books I want to read, but then I end up only reading blogs and not my books.
13-If I could get Kroger to deliver groceries-my life would be bliss!
14-I have personally known three people who have contracted Guillaume-Barre disease from taking a flu-shot.
15-I am rather hesitant to take a flu-shot, but realize I do need one.
16-I am my mother's only child.
17-I have an older half-brother and older half-sister from my biological father's first marriage.
18-We only have a speaking acquaintance type relationship, and that doesn't bother me. Quite frankly I'm glad I don't have to be bothered with them. Their lives are not stable.
19-I have not seen or spoken to my biological father in 11 years, and I really don't mind.
20-I call him my biological father because basically that is all he is to me. He is not the man I love and cherish and who raised me(see item # 1).
21-I'm glad I don't have to be bothered by my father's family. They are all crazy. Not the good funny & goofy crazy either.

I didn't know you could catch Guillaume-Barre disease. Strange.
I haven't talked to the man legally listed as my father in probably close to 20 years.
I'm with you on the books. When we built our house, I was so excited because it has a library. And shelves that go up for days and days. chock full of books yet I haven't read any of them.
Same thing with magazines. Magazines are my crack I subscribe to probably 20, yet I haven't read on in forever... they just stack up and I say, "I'll get to those this weekend". heh.
Thanks for being a good sport. And I'm with you on the flu shot ... I'd damn near rather get sick than take that shot!
