So I get mother in the car and we are ready to hit the interstate to go to her doctor's appt.
We are running late, and mom tells me to call them and make sure that the doctor will still be able to see her if we are late.
So I call.
They tell me her appointment was for 3P, not 3:30P. Now I can promise you that I wrote down 3:30P on the calendar when I made the darn thing! I apologized profusely, I felt like an idiot.
I have to tell you as we were getting in the car, I just couldn't help but feel like it was the last time she would be with leaving the house. I mean I nearly broke down in tears right there.
So when they rescheduled the appointment, we were in the car already, mom said "Let's go somewhere and eat. Call the boys."
So I called Todd and he and Paddy were in the drive-thru picking up their food, so they said for us to go on without them. Mother and I went to Cracker Barrel and ordered breakfast at three in the afternoon.
I won't go into what else happened today. Let's just say it was boring and involved me losing my keys at Lowe's, and crying in the parking lot while talking to Todd on the phone. Fortunately the wonderful Lowe's associate who rung up my purchases spied them on the counter and had them for me when I went back to retrieve them. I was too upset to get her name, but all I can say is God Bless her!
PS-I have a new right wing political blog. If you are like minded you can read it here.
If you aren't like minded, please stay away-I have too much stress in my life now to fight trolls.
