Sweet things that my son said.........

I have the sweetest three year old son. He is the joy of my life. A complete miracle child, because hubby and I medically, should not have been able to get preggers on our own.
So last night after I finished at the vets office, I thought I would stop at the grocery store since I didn't know when I would feel like leaving the house again, and I needed to decompress emotionally. At Kroger's they had strawberries and they are baby boy's favorite food. So I loaded up on all sorts of bad things-you know all kinds of Halloween candy, and honey buns(to ease my depression-don't ya know). I was able to restrain myself from cookies and ice cream but only because I bought about six bags of chocolate candy.
I made my way home. I was able to hold it together until I got out of the car and then I just broke. My mother came out and hugged me and told me that the mama cat and babies were in a better place and not suffering any more. She helped me carry in the groceries. When I put the strawberries in the fridge, little man said "OH Strawberries, me want some." I asked him if he wouldn't rather wait until the morning, he replied that he needed them now. So mother washed them for him while I was finishing up with the groceries. Baby took his bowl of berries into the living room. When I got into the living room he was munching on the berries and handed me one. I told him "no, I bought them for you." He pushed it toward me again and said "It make you feel better, mama."
The child is so sweet I could just die.
Then later he wanted me to carry him and I said "Baby you are almost getting to big for mama to carry."
He said "NO, me stay little."
I gently told him that growing up was a part of life and that all little boys grow up big and strong, but I would always love him." I truly can not imagine my life without him.
