Hey Sports Fans!

Well the Sox swept the Series! Never thought I would ever write that line.
UK got hammered this past weekend, dropping them out of the national rankings. Not that I expected anything to come out of that anyway. The media gets everyone all hyped up about the football team, but don't they remember the "Curse of the Bear"? The late great Bear Bryant was the football coach at UK and took them to the national championship and all he got for his efforts was a cigarette lighter. It is shameful how he was treated here. As a result UK doesn't win football games.
Only three races left in the Nextel Cup Series for this year. Some of my newer readers may not realize this, but I am a hardcore NASCAR fan and probably have been since birth. There were a few years when I tried to be a snob about it, but as I have grown older I have learned to embrace my "REDNECKEDNESS", yeah and that it is all about the cute guys in fast cars!
Poor Dale Jr. lost a wheel with only about three laps to go yesterday. At this point it is just painful to watch. I will be so happy when he makes his first start with Hendrick at Daytona next year.
Looks like Jeff Gordon will probably win the Championship. I am finding him much more tolerable since he has gotten married and become a dad, that and the fact that he and Jr. are going to be teammates. I still don't like Jimmie Johnson and you can't make me!
And what in the world is up with Carl Edwards? I know he likes weight lifting, and all of a sudden he is so bulked up and he is acting aggressively towards his own teammates? Sure looks suspicious to me.
