Bus Crashes

So there was a school bus crash here in KY yesterday, that resulted in the death of a student.
I mentioned in an earlier blog, that I had survived a bus crash in 1988.
It seems like every time there is a bus crash, someone does a study (usually the government)and they will release the finding that buses should have seat belts. It happened after our crash. It has happened after other crashes.
So could someone please tell me why 20 years later they still don't have seat belts on school buses?
I guess our kids don't matter.

It makes nary a bit of sense. There are booster seats for 7 year olds that we're all supposed to have or we're sucky parents, but heaven forbid we have a bus outfitted with even a seatbelt. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Yeah, I'm with Stacey. If I have to put my 7 year old in a booster seat, why the hell should I not expect the same from the BUS!?!

OMG! I've been sitting at my desk snickering over your colorful posts for the last, well, I won't get into how much time I've NOT been working today but girl! You is a hoot! =)

So far I find that we are in aggrement on teenage ho's milking the government, Dora and Diago's irritability factor and the fact that Paula Deen should be president.
=)

Have a good weekend.

Hi, thanks for commenting on my blog.

In Australia many school buses now have seatbelts. it means they can't cram so many kids in though.

You are RIGHT ON. Someone is definitely making money with the status quo. After all, re-fitting TONS of buses everywhere would cost a pretty penny, wouldn't it?
