Shelli just wrote about attack ads that are ongoing in the campaigning in her state. They are happening in my state too and they are the standard manure being tossed around so there really isn't much to write about.
But DUDES you have got to see this one. I know nothing about this contest or even the candidates, but this is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time!

You would think that borders on slanderous to suggest that the other candidate is a drug user.

I wish they'd ban all campaigning until one week before the elections.
I'm at the point in the election year where I just block out all political ads. Although, if there were more like that^, I might not ignore them so much. Probably I would, but maybe not.

Who writes this dreck? Surely there are more useful ways to employ the 30 seconds of air time you've paid for? If you want to make the point that a congressman votes against troop funding, isn't there a more . . . respectable way to do so?
