My cousin sent me this joke-it really picked me up! Hope you like it too!

Billy Graham was returning to Charlotte after a speaking engagement and when his
plane arrived there was a limousine there to transport him to his home.

As he prepared to get into the limo, he stopped and spoke to the driver.

'You know' he said, 'I am 87 years old and I have never driven a limousine.
Would you mind if I drove it for a while?'

The driver said, 'No problem. Have at it.'

Billy gets into the driver's seat and they head off down the highway.
A short distance away sat a rookie State Trooper operating his first speed trap.

The long black limo went by him doing 70 in a 55 mph zone.

The trooper pulled out and easily caught the limo.
He got out of his patrol car to begin the procedure.

The young trooper walked up to the driver's door and when the glass was rolled down,
he was surprised to see Who was driving.

He immediately excused himself and went back to his car and called his supervisor.

He told the supervisor, 'I know we are supposed to enforce the law.... But I also know
that Important people are given certain courtesies.
I need to know what I should do because I have stopped a VERY important person.'

The supervisor asked, 'Is it the governor?'

The young trooper said, 'No, he's more important than that.
'The supervisor said, 'Oh, so it's the president.'
The young trooper said, 'No, he's even more Important than that.'

The supervisor finally asked, 'Well then, who is it?'

The young trooper said, 'I think it's Jesus, because he's got Billy Graham for a
chauffeur!'

I'm a Bette!

I may have posted this a while back-I can't remember, but I do love it. Sadly it's pretty darn accurate.

Bettes are direct, self-reliant, self-confident, and protective.

How to Get Along with Me
  • * Stand up for yourself... and me.
  • * Be confident, strong, and direct.
  • * Don't gossip about me or betray my trust.
  • * Be vulnerable and share your feelings. See and acknowledge my tender, vulnerable side.
  • * Give me space to be alone.
  • * Acknowledge the contributions I make, but don't flatter me.
  • * I often speak in an assertive way. Don't automatically assume it's a personal attack.
  • * When I scream, curse, and stomp around, try to remember that's just the way I am.

What I Like About Being a Bette
  • * being independent and self-reliant
  • * being able to take charge and meet challenges head on
  • * being courageous, straightforward, and honest
  • * getting all the enjoyment I can out of life
  • * supporting, empowering, and protecting those close to me

What's Hard About Being a Bette
  • * overwhelming people with my bluntness; scaring them away when I don't intend to
  • * being restless and impatient with others' incompetence
  • * sticking my neck out for people and receiving no appreciation for it
  • * never forgetting injuries or injustices
  • * putting too much pressure on myself
  • * getting high blood pressure when people don't obey the rules or when things don't go right

Bettes as Children Often

Gifts I would rather you leave at the store.

I was scrolling around on the perfume.com website and came across this perfume.
PLEASE leave it at the store. I DO NOT CARE what it smells like, although I'm thinking it can't be good!
Just imagine, if you wore this particular fragrance to work, and one of your male co-workers said, "Oh that's a lovely fragrance you are wearing, what is it?"
And you answer. Now he has a case for sexual harassment, or thinks you are coming on to him.
Back away from the counter and walk away slowly, your wife or girlfriend doesn't want this product.
You just have to know that a man came up with this name.
Can you imagine that meeting in product development? How the heck did this stuff make it to the market? What about marketing? No wonder I had never heard of it until I saw it on that site. Did you notice that perfume.com's slogan is "Every Fragrance Tells a Story".
UH-HUH!
ROFLMAO!!!!

Overheard at my house.../UPDATED

"Ok, so wonder where I could find a professional witches hat?"*

Yes, gentle reader that was spoken by me. You see Halloween is a biggie for me since it is a festival with it's origins in the Ireland of my ancestors. It also appeals to the lunatic in me.

When Todd and I were first married we went all out and decorated the yard and house, with tombstones made from guitar boxes with goofy names like Seymour Butts, and I. P. Freely, orange lights in the trees, skeletons hanging from the trees and pumpkins galore.
After our car accident in 1996, things just went downhill. We haven't decorated in years. I have been harrassing Todd for two weeks now, to help me gather up our decorations so that we can create some fun for Paddycake.

So I found an excellent make-up source online, and it came today as witnessed in the above photo. I found the perfect outfit and it is on it's way to me. So this year I am dressing up as Elfaba from the Wizard of Oz. I have everything(even the ruby red slippers), I need except for a hat.
You see, I have a freakishly large head being that I am of Irish and Welsh heritage. I have NEVER been able to walk into a store and find a hat to fit my head. NEVER! I would dearly love to be able to find a really well made hat since this is probably going to be the beginning of a long-standing tradition. Does anybody know a haberdasher?
**********************************************************************
*meaning a professionally made witches hat, not the hat of a professional witch!
Yes there will be pictures (whether I let them be seen is another story)and I have already hunted EBAY dry for the ruby red slippers and the witches outfit, even the gloves. All of the hats I have seen look like .99 cent special from Wal-Mart. I fear that I am going to have to make a hat my own self. Not that I mind, but I would rather not have to go to Wal-Mart for the supplies! No Jo-Ann Fabrics or Michaels in my neck of the woods--Wal-Mart is it! UGH!

Campaign Attack Ads

Shelli just wrote about attack ads that are ongoing in the campaigning in her state. They are happening in my state too and they are the standard manure being tossed around so there really isn't much to write about.
But DUDES you have got to see this one. I know nothing about this contest or even the candidates, but this is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time!

The craziest blog I have ever seen

OK we interrupt this Elvis fest for the following.
Today I happened to click on this blog Hello Kitty Hell.
You really must go see it.
The poor guy who writes the blog lives in Japan, and his wife is Hello Kitty obsessed.
Now if you don't think that is funny, you aren't as crazy as I am. Remember you are reading a blog with the name Stuck On Lunatic.
If you go to the blog click on the categories evidently you if you can name it Sanrio has put Hello Kitty's face on it.
But you have got to see the Hello Kitty Nun. People that is just totally insane!
Alrighty then, tomorrow we will resume the Elvis obsession.
TTFN!!!

Something crazy!

The other day I saw a bumper sticker(on a parked car) that said:

JESUS LOVES YOU
BUT I'M HIS FAVORITE!

Isn't that just hysterical?!!
That is SO sibling rivalry like!

So have you seen any good bumper stickers lately?
Do share!

It is now 2:00AM. I am still up! I am supposed to have my ass in bed right now so I can get up early and we can leave for OHIO.
I can't stand this! I always get this way before I have to travel. Even if it is just 70 miles into the city for an appointment or shopping. I get all freaked out, can't sleep, or get in bed. My brain goes on overload. I hate this!
My godmother used to get this way and not sleep if we were going somewhere and I would get so upset with her. I swear she must have cursed me with it.
Ugh!
I hate to travel and the most ironic thing about that is I USED TO BE A TRAVEL AGENT!!
Ponder that one, my lovelies!
Ciao!

Kids say the darnedest things

Ok, so that is not an original title, totally stolen from Art Linkletter, but I have to tell you what Paddycake said to his Daddy last night.
Daddy and Paddy are driving home from KFC, where they picked up dinner.
Evidently the Partridge Family theme song "Get Happy" was being played on the radio.
Daddy starts singing along, "Come on get happy."
Paddycake in the back seat says "Daddy, it will make me happy if you stop singing."
I thought I would die laughing when Daddy told me. The kid is just rotten to the core!
