"Ok, so wonder where I could find a professional witches hat?"*
Yes, gentle reader that was spoken by me. You see Halloween is a biggie for me since it is a festival with it's origins in the Ireland of my ancestors. It also appeals to the lunatic in me.
When Todd and I were first married we went all out and decorated the yard and house, with tombstones made from guitar boxes with goofy names like Seymour Butts, and I. P. Freely, orange lights in the trees, skeletons hanging from the trees and pumpkins galore.
After our car accident in 1996, things just went downhill. We haven't decorated in years. I have been harrassing Todd for two weeks now, to help me gather up our decorations so that we can create some fun for Paddycake.
So I found an excellent make-up source online, and it came today as witnessed in the above photo. I found the perfect outfit and it is on it's way to me. So this year I am dressing up as Elfaba from the Wizard of Oz. I have everything(even the ruby red slippers), I need except for a hat.
You see, I have a freakishly large head being that I am of Irish and Welsh heritage. I have NEVER been able to walk into a store and find a hat to fit my head. NEVER! I would dearly love to be able to find a really well made hat since this is probably going to be the beginning of a long-standing tradition. Does anybody know a haberdasher?

Yes there will be pictures (whether I let them be seen is another story)and I have already hunted EBAY dry for the ruby red slippers and the witches outfit, even the gloves. All of the hats I have seen look like .99 cent special from Wal-Mart. I fear that I am going to have to make a hat my own self. Not that I mind, but I would rather not have to go to Wal-Mart for the supplies! No Jo-Ann Fabrics or Michaels in my neck of the woods--Wal-Mart is it! UGH!

You know the original Jack-O-Lanterns were carved in Ireland out of Turnips & Potatoes & such things (other than pumpkins) and placed in doorways with a candle or ember of fire to keep away evil spirits?
are you gonna post a pic?

I always hunt Ebay for the hard to find stuff. But I can't wait to see the pics! And there had better be pics!
I with you, I haven't decorated for Halloween in a long time, and this is our first year to go out for it. We have been searching ideas on-line and have came up with a few things...
