- I am now obsessed with learning to knit. I can crochet but can't knit. Karen over at The More, The Messier recommended http://www.knittinghelp.com/ So far I can cast on, but haven't figured out how to get it off the needle yet.

I want to learn how to knit, too. But, I can't keep up with the hobbies I already have. Knitting will have to wait. :)
I learned to knit when I was very young - my mother was a great knitter - but I never much liked it. I've made a few things, but it bores me. However, you know I can and do crochet!
How's your mom?
I wanted to try knitting too. I tried the knitting loom they sell at Walmart, but the instructions are horrible and useless. And, my hands can't really take the knitting or crochet needles anymore. :( Hope everything is going well with your Mom.

I learned how to knit a few years ago. I've always been a crocheter and could never get the hang of knitting until someone suggested I start with socks. I really think knitting on DPN's or circular needles is what finally did it for me...I had tension troubles before and would give up. If we were closer, I could help you!
