My two-cents about Bernie Madoff

OK, now I know everyone and their brother has had their say about Bernie Madoff, so now I am going to have my say.
One of the victims of Madoff's Ponzi scheme is Zsa Zsa Gabor. Zsa Zsa had to "work" very hard for her money-you know the old saying "when you marry for money you earn every penny."
For the past several years of Zsa Zsa's life she has been pretty much house-bound and in a wheel chair due to first a car accident and then a stroke.
So for his punishment I think old Bernie should have to be Zsa Zsa's live-in, round the clock care-giver! You remember Zsa Zsa slapped a Beverly Hills Cop, can you imagine how she must treat those who are in her employ? I think Bernie deserves no less.
I saw Whoopi Goldberg mention that she thought it would be a good punishment to sit Madoff in Central Park have a guard with him and let his victims come and confront him. Nah, that's too easy.
I saw today, that Madoff admitted that when the stock market went down in the early nineties that he resorted to the Ponzi scheme.
What I CAN NOT for the life of me figure out is why when the market started going back up didn't he take some of his own funds and try to straighten the mess out?
Right-I just don't think he gave a damn. And it wasn't that he didn't have the money either because he has artwork, property, jewels, yachts, you name it, he bought it with the funds.
The really sickening part of the whole mess is that the weasel took money from people who were sitting up charitable trusts.
The media keeps saying that his prison sentence is a "life" sentence due to his age. Honestly prison is too good for the dude, I would really like to see him in a stockade out in front of the Stock Exchange. Maybe if our country went back to using the old stockade's in the town square and everyone could walk by and throw a rotten tomato or rotten egg at the criminal there would be a lot less crime.

That's a huge mountain of money, too. Makes you wonder where all of it went.

I think he will wind up getting off way too easy!

I read a fascinating Vanity Fair article about him and the author kept hearing from all of Madoff's investigators and he was a genius, that while the market was crashing, Bernie was making 10-12% profit.

Um, hi? All you rich, wealthy investors? If it sounds too good to be true? Probably is. Yeah.
