Well I overslept this morning, waking up at 7:11AM, jumping out of bed, splashing water on my face, brushed my teeth and threw on some clothes. Threw Paddycake in his clothes and grabbed a box of Toaster Strudel out of the freezer and hit the road. He hopped out of the car at Granny-Papaw's, with a quick kiss goodbye, I hit I-75* to Corbin.
I pulled into hospital parking lot at quarter til eight. So hopped out of the car and ran to mom's room. She was still sleeping peacefully. I was so afraid I would be too late to see her before the procedure. Along about 8:30AM one of the student nurses came in to check on mom and see how she was doing. We told her we were waiting for the heart catheterization, so she went out to the desk and called the cath lab who told her they were on the way up to get mom.
The cath went well, they went through her esophagus, and there were no blood clots or any other problems with her heart.
They led us to believe that the shock convert would take place soon.
But as usual with most hospitals it's "hurry up and wait".
So they ended up giving her two different kinds of medicine via IV and waiting for them to take effect. By the time they waited for the second med to take effect it was after 3PM.
The nurse came in and disconnected the monitors and told her they probably wouldn't get to her today.
They finally brought in her dinner around 5:30 and I had to prod her to eat even though she was NPO since midnight last night.
So I finally was able to make it home, and I am so worn out! She's pretty worn out too with the rapid heart beat, it just makes her exhausted.
I have to get my rump in bed so that I can get up in the morning and start it all over again!
Please say a prayer for her kidneys to be healed to functioning again, and her body to cleansed of cancer.
Thank you and God Bless!
*Remind me to tell you how one of the easements that my husband's grandparents signed was for Interstate 75!

Oh honey, you know that I know exactly how you feel right now. She's in my prayers and so are you.
prayers ascending.
Heavens, what a horribly tiring and stressful day for you all. :(
Sending good thoughts and prayers.
I HATE hurry-up and wait. Ugh.
Still thinking of you and sending positive thoughts to Providence above.
