Is it just, me or does anyone else think that the balloon boy's parents need a good public whipping?
I'm serious-20 lashes each with a buggy whip. They should also have to pay for all of the rescue efforts that were made on behalf of their son.
What is this world coming to when some a-hole decides to call the media and start this kind of ruckus?
There have been media reports that the father is an "adrenaline junkie", well so what meat head, don't involve your kids in your lunacy!
Ok that's my two cents worth. What do you think their punishment should be?

The kids and I were talking about this before we read the possible charges... We all agreed that he should have to pay for the rescue effort...but I told them, sadly, it's not against the law to lie. Then I read the charges and, yes, to my pleasant surprise, "making a false report to authorities" is a crime!

This whole balloon thing was disgusting, and putting the children up to lying should be a capital offence.

they should have to repay the local authorities for the time and money it took looking for their son. they should do community work. they should have to publicly apologize. crazy man!
