Elvis would be 73 years old today, and brother if that doesn't make you feel old you probably aren't.
For Christmas, hubby bought me DVD's of The '68 Comeback Special, and the Aloha From Hawaii. If you are a regular reader you already know about my "new lover" the 42 inch Phillips Flat Screen HDTV. All I can say is seeing Elvis in his black leather motorcycle jacket and pants on that big screen was just orgasmic! It was almost like being there.
It was a little more disturbing to see the Aloha From Hawaii because we could actually see his pores and his makeup, clearly Elvis was going downhill at this point, but he still looked purty for the most part. As an aside, I must tell you that when this show originally aired way back in 1973, this gal was a toddler. My mother relates that during the show I would toddle up to the screen and pat it and say "DaDa". My mother and her mother promptly dissolved in giggles and both said "I wish".
Elvis, we miss you. But at least we will always have our DVD's to remember your glory.

That explains why I was hearing Elvis songs on the radio this morning.
Never got used to the fact that Elvis and my dad are (would be? were?) the same age.
But my old man never had Col. Tom Parker, so things worked out.

73! That just does not seem right, does it? I wonder what he would be like if he'd lived to be a geezer.
