The general suckitude of yesterday

Thanks to everyone who is praying for us.
Yesterday started early because neither mother or I slept AT ALL!
I was up until about 4:30A and had managed to nap until about 8A.
Mother was just up the entire time.
As a result, we were both so fried, but I was going to soldier on and force us to go. Then it hit me, the overwhelming fatigue. I was able to reschedule the appointment for next week. Todd will be off from work to take care of the young'un, and mother and I will drive to the city and get a hotel, so even if we don't sleep, we will at least be only five minutes from the doctors office.
So at around eleven yesterday morning I was able to lay down and take a nap, I was so drained and exhausted. Then around 2:00 Smoochie cat who has been laying behind our big TV, rolled over and fell off of the entertainment center. When he fell he pulled out the cable that connects the TV to the satellite receiver.
So I had to journey to the TV, and curse my way through the tangle of cords that hook up that mess to find the end to plug back in. I have begged my husband to untangle that mess, but instead he keeps adding more equipment and more damn cords. Drives me crazier. It's just a big twisted ball of cords and cables. I don't see how anything is able to work.
Somehow in my quest, I fell. My arms got pinned behind me and I couldn't get them moved so I could push myself up. I am in a panic, because I just know that our giant plasma TV is going to fall on my head killing me. AND did I mention, my arms ended up pinned behind me, making it impossible for me to move. Somehow I managed to get my legs moving and got my feet back under me and was able to get up, without killing my boyfriend, the plasma TV.
So in review-Mom still hasn't been to the doctor!
I fell and I am hella sore, but I didn't kill my boyfriend the plasma.
Just another lovely day in the looney bin.

Get some rest.

Oh, and that's why I don't have a cat.

Praying your mom's doctors visit that it will being good news. LOL my boyfriend the plasma t.v. you crack me up. Lawd and the cords behind our t.v. is impossible to find the right connections for anything,so I don't think I would of been successful at hooking anything back up, and I'm luck nothing has caught on fire...

I, too, have had those days in which I've fallen and can't get up. Hope things start looking brighter soon.

Sorry about your day.

Those tangles of cords are scary. Plus the feeling that if something goes awry, you will never get everything working again.

Hope that things improve soon for you and your mom, and that you get a good doctor, and that the doctor helps even more than you thought possible.

Moo!

It could have been worse. You could've had a tv for a hat.

Um.

Let's start again.

I'm so sorry you fell! I hope you're OK. aybe you should consider getting some cable ties? Or maybe a smaller boyfriend?

Dare I suggest a toy boy?

Sorry. Sorry. Don't mind me. I blame the opiates ...
