Is that Dale Jr.?

No, that's my Paddycake.
Sadly there will be no pictures of me dressed as Elfaba.
By the time four o'clock rolled around, I was too tired and too sweaty.
Get your minds out of the gutter people, it was seventy degrees here and ever since the young'un was born I break out in a sweat if it is over thirty two degrees, and the sweat was running down my neck. My hormones are seriously wacked out!
No, Paddycake doesn't have to pee in this picture, if you notice the odd stance. He skinned his knee last weekend and then fell again on the same knee this morning. It's pretty nasty looking, I have cleaned it with the PhisoHex and glommed the Neosporin on it, but if it doesn't look significantly better in the morning, I will be dragging him to the walk-in clinic.

Broadway bound Brett!!

Brett is going to the Jets. I'm not crazy about the Jets, due to my love and adoration of all things Manning(since Eli is a Giant), but guess I will learn to be.
All I can say is I totally hate the way the Packers treated Brett. If you have been watching Fox News On The Record with Greta Van Sustern(Greta is a big Cheese Head and she owns a share of the team), she did a four-part interview with him where he detailed the lies that have been told to him by the organization over the years.
At one point Favre was even willing to give up part of his salary in order for the team to be able to hire Randy Moss because Brett wanted Moss for the team. The Packers didn't even talk to Moss.
From the way he talked it was pretty much evident that Packers management didn't value his opinion or services.
So I hope Brett will be happy and I sure hope the Jets are happy to have him.

Tragedy at the Derby

I live in Kentucky. It is my home, my love and every ounce of it, is deeply ingrained in my soul. I love horses and horse racing. Every year I try to make it to the spring and fall meets at Keeneland. The spring meet leads up to the Kentucky Derby held on the first Saturday in May. The pomp, the pageantry, the celebrities, but most importantly the horses. The best of the best three year old horses in the world come to compete for the blanket of red roses and the honor of winning the Kentucky Derby.
This year we were excited because a filly was competing for the first time since 1999. The last time a filly won the derby was Winning Colors in 1988. Eight Belles was this girl's name. She ran so hard today. After crossing the finish, coming in second to Big Brown, her jockey says she started to gallop funny so he was pulling her up when she went down. When the equine ambulance arrived, she had broken both front ankles, one of them a compound fracture. There was nothing that could be done for her, Eight Belles had to be euthanized immediately.
Watching the race coverage, seeing Big Brown take the lead and run away from the crowd. Then seeing Eight Belles laying on the track before the ambulance got to her, I knew something was wrong and it felt like a knife in my heart. My son was sitting with us on the couch and I had to try really hard not to cry, so he wouldn't get upset. There were tears in eyes of grown men today at Churchill Downs. It's a sad day.

OK how funny is this?

Here in the Bluegrass, we are experiencing WEATHER.
We have a pretty decent climate, if you like that sort of thing. If you are snow obsessed like me and a few others it isn't all that pleasant. It will get cold, but rarely ever snow. A good friend of mine says her children believe there are two seasons, snow season and pool season. I am very much in agreement with this way of thinking.
So anyway, we don't have any WEATHER, here in the southern part of the state, but in Louisville and Frankfort they are getting the full blast. So much so that some businesses have found it necessary to close. We were watching one of the Louisville TV stations earlier, and it scrolled across the bottom that Hillerich and Bradsby were closed and that Jim Beam in Frankfort was closing for the day. Hillerich and Bradsby for those who aren't sports obsessed like I, make the world famous Louisville Slugger baseball bat. Jim Beam makes, well you know bourbon.
So I got to thinking-What will us crazy hillbillies do without our bourbon and bats to swing?
I know so many of you who read this are raging smarta$$es so any snarky comments are appreciated. Must include getting drunk and bat swinging.
Have Fun!!

WOOHOO GIANTS WIN!!!

I can not express to you my joy at the win by the Giants! There are no words!

I REALLY DESPISE the Patriots. Why you may ask, well because they are CHEATERS!!

I really don't understand why Bill Belichick wasn't kicked out of the league on a lifetime ban for taping the signals and practices of the opposing teams. Cheating is cheating, no matter which way you look at it. It isn't right, and it really gives someone an unfair advantage when they know all of the calls their opponent is making.
Honestly, I think I would only be happier if my own kid had won the SuperBowl. I have been in love with the Manning men for a very long time. So YEAH! How cool is it that Peyton won the Superbowl last year and then baby brother Eli won this year? VERY KEWL!!!!!! TOO AWESOME FOR WORDS BABY!!!!
I won't tell you how I dislike Tom Brady and why, but suffice to say he's a weasel and a cad! Karma is a BIATCH, Tommy boy and she smacked you down and made you eat dirt. Team Bridget OVAH HEAH!!
BTW-I told my husband that if we have another kid, boy or girl it's name will be PLAXICO!
